In this speculative design project, Nome is a restaurant that imagines possible futures and trajectories for the restaurant industry. As the mass personalization of consumer goods continues to rise in popularity, this has huge implications for the health, diet, and food industry. This project critically examines a world in which a personalized diet plan could significantly modify your genetic makeup and lead to an even wider gap in societal privilege and advantages. Nome is the elite meal delivery service of the future, where the top one percent will be fortified by genetic engineering.
