Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Next Wave Festival showcases the work of emerging contemporary artists from around the globe. The event booklet’s design reflects BAM’s innovative artistry, organizational history, and venue architecture. BAM’s acronym on the cover is formed from die-cut arches. The arch is a repeated element in the architecture of the Next Wave Festival’s three main venues. This traditional detail is juxtaposed in the booklet interior with colorful monotone imagery and contemporary typography.
